Portadown Boat Club welcomes people of all ages, abilities and ambitions, from 12 years old junior level right through to Masters, aged 27 years old and upwards!
As Portadown Boat Club is the only Boat Club to operate on the Upper Bann we have a lovely stretch of water running from 1 mile upstream of the club to the Point of Whitecote and 9.5 miles downstream to the Bann Foot of Lough Neagh. We also have a fantastic Boat House and Club House with include a large gym area overlooking the River Bann, with weight machines, free weights and our 11 Concept2 rowing machines (ergos).
Coaching & Training
Water based coaching sessions are conducted on Saturday mornings 7.30am-12.30pm for junior crews. Adult crews row on Sunday mornings 9:00am -12pm.
Land training (i.e. gym and/or weights) is on weekday evenings. Timeslots vary depending on which squad you are in. For more information on the different squads click here.
The Club has a great team of experienced Coaches and the Club is supported by a very active Committee.
As well as all the rowers at Portadown Boat Club there is also a very active parents group whom, along with our very dedicated team of coaches and committee, put a huge amount of work into making sure our rowers make it to events and aid with the Club social activities.
Portadown Boat Club is affiliated with Rowing Ireland.
