Tony Dean, President
Chartered Architect. Started rowing in 1959 at school. Joined Portadown Boat Club in 1970 while employed at the Craigavon Development Commission. Was involved in the revival of the Club in the 1980’s and has been a member of the Committee continuously since then.

Kevin McDonagh, Club Captain
Proprietor of Vale Furniture Warehouse. Committee member since 1996 and second stint as Captain. Coach for last eight years with silver and bronze medals at Irish Championships National Coach 2002.

Keith Bailey, Hon. Secretary
Full-time coach at Club. Extensive experience at Senior and National level regatta rowing in New Zealand. Bronze medallist at Maadi Cup (New Zealand National Secondary Schools Championship). Responsible for coach/crew coordination and development of Club training methods both on and off the water.

Assistant Bank Manager with First Trust Bank, Portadown Boat Club Committee member since 1998, assistant coach, previous Hon Secretary and past Captain. Successful in securing Lottery Funding in 1999 for new boats.

R.K. Niall Irwin, Vice Captain
Joint owner and Company Director of W.D. Irwin & Sons Ltd. Responsible for production and distribution. Sponsorship secretary and Veteran’s convenor for three years. Member of Club and Veteran rowing squad for eight years.

David Peile
Regional Operations Manager for Rentokil Initial Ltd. Member of Boat Club for past seven years following daughter’s success within the Club and at Irish national level. Active member of Veteran rowing squad.

Maggie Redman
Health Visitor for Craigavon & Banbridge Community Trust. Specialist nurse in Children’s health. Active member of Club Social Committee and fulfils the role of Child Protection Officer. “Enjoys” coxing the veteran men’s crews!

Matthew McAdam
Full-time Civil Engineering Student at University of Ulster, Jordanstown. Club Vice Captain in 2004. Rowed at local, national levels representing Portadown Boat Club for past six years. Junior member on Committee and Mens Junior 18 squad Coach.
