Portadown Boat Club welcomes people of all ages, abilities and ambitions, from 12 years old junior level right through to Veteran/Masters 27 years old and upwards! How young do you feel?
As Portadown Boat Club is the only Boat Club to operate on the Upper Bann we have a lovely stretch of water running from 1 mile upstream of the club to the Point of Whitecote and 9.5 miles downstream to the Bann Foot of Lough Neagh.
Water based coaching sessions are conducted on Saturday mornings 9am-12pm for junior crews. Adult crews row on Sunday mornings 9:00am -12pm.
Land training (i.e. gym and/or weights) is on weekday evenings. Timeslots vary, and are allocated to specific crews.

At Portadown we have a range of coaches and support personnel with years of experience in rowing. We are at hand to help teach you the basics in rowing and to help you progress to whichever level you want to achieve. This may be to enjoy the tranquility of taking a row on the river or to compete to the highest standard. Why not pop down and see it for yourself, even if your just out for a walk on the towpath.
